A brilliant discovery and a very easy dessert to make ahead. It would impress anyone at a party. Try this, you won't be disappointed. !!!

Preparation time - 10 minutes
Cooking time - 20 minutes
Serves 2

Ingredients

Cornflour - 1/4 cup
Water - 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp
Rose syrup - 4 tbsp
Milk - 1.5 cup
Sugar - 4 - 6 tbsp
Sabja seeds - 2 tbsp
Vanilla Ice Cream -  approximately 2 scoops
Ice water - in a small vessel(Approximately 2 cups)
A press for making the sev.

Recipe

To make the Sev

1. Mix the cornflour and water. Keep on medium flame and keep stirring till it turns transparent adding the 2 tbsp of water intermittently.
2. Keep the ice water and the greased press ready. As soon as the cornflour mixture is ready, spoon the mixture into the press and make the sev directly into the icewater. This helps the sev set immediately  without dissolving.
3. Once done refrigerate it till you serve.
4. Soak the sabja seeds in 1 cup water and refrigerate after they bloom to their full size.
5. Boil milk with the sugar. Allow to cool and refrigerate.

Assembling the Falooda

1. Pour equal measures of the Rose Syrup in two tall glasses
2. Drain the water from the sev and add 2- 3 spoons of the sev gently onto the rose syrup.
3. Drain the sabja and add equal quantity in to the glasses over the sev.
4. Tilt the glass gently and pur the milk along the sides slowly so that it doesn't disturb the layers.
5. Finally add a scoop each of vanilla ice cream into the two glasses carefully over the milk.
6. Falooda is ready  to serve. Serve it with a long spoon

Notes :

Sabja is a very good coolant and hence is great to have if your body type is hot.  You could soak it in water and have it with sweetened cold milk or add it to your rose milk. The dry fruits topping is optional.
