Kuru Milagu / Green Peppercorn Pickle

Ingredients

Kurumilagu / Green Pepper sticks -  250 gms washed and dried
Lemon - 3 nos
Green chillies - 6 nos
Water - 2 cups
Salt - 3/4 cup
Vinegar - 1/4 cup (Optional)
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek powder - 1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Sesame Oil - 1 tbsp





Procedure

1. Take water, add salt to that and make a brine solution.
2. You may add the vinegar to this. 
3. Chop the lemons and chillies finely
4. Add the kurumilagu, finely cut lemon pieces and green chillies to this.
5. Add asafoetida, fenugreek powder.
6. Heat sesame oil, when hot add the mustard. After it splutters add to the pickle
7. Allow it to stand for a day or two and use.
