Dhokla


Preparation Time : 30 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes  
Serves : 4

Ingredients 

Gram Flour / Besan - 1.5 cup 
Curds - 3/4   cup
Water - 3/4 cup
Eno - 2 tsp
Green Chilli paste - 1/2 tsp
Lime Juice - 1 tbsp
Sugar - 2 tsp
Salt - To taste

For Seasoning

Mustard - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp
Green Chillies - 1


Procedure 
  1. Chop green chillies, coriander leaves. 
  2. Make a fine batter by mixing gram flour, curds, water, salt, sugar, lime juice and set aside for half an hour. The batter should be of pouring consistency ( like dosa batter)
  3. Grease a flat steaming vessel generously with oil.
  4. Finally add eno fruit salt to the batter and pour it immediately in to the greased plate. 
  5. Steam it in the pressure cooker for 15 minutes.Cool it 
  6. Turn it upside down on a plate, cut it into squares 
  7. Add the mustard seasoning and garnish with grated coconut,coriander leaves and chopped green chillies. 
  8. Serve with coriander chutney / green chilli pickle.
