Lemon Sevai





Preparation Time : 20 minutes
Cooking Time : 40 minutes
Serves : 2

Ingredients

Parboiled Rice / Puzhungal Arisi - 2 cups
Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 3/4 tsp
Urad Dal - 2 tsp
Chana Dal - 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves - a few
Lemon - 3
Green Chillies - 2
Salt - To taste

Procedure

1. Soak the Rice for 4 - 6 hours. Grind it to a fine batter a little dilute than idli batter.
2. Steam them in idli plates and then press them through a sev press.
3. In a kadai heat oil, add the mustard, urad dal, chana dal, when they turn light brown, add the curry leaves, chillies, turmeric, salt and set aside.
4. Mix the lemon juice and add the sev. Loosen the sev and mix thoroughly.
5. Check the salt.
6. Lemon Sevai is ready to eat. It tastes great as it is.
