Paruppu vadai



Preparation Time : 2.5 hours (including soaking time)
Cooking Time : 25 minutes
Serves : 5- 6 vadas

Ingredients
 
Chana dhal – 1 cup
Green chilli – 2/ 3 as per taste
Red chilli ( optional)
Asafoetida / Hing - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander and  curry leaves - 2 tbsp
Oil for frying

Procedure

1. Soak the chana dhal in water for two hours.
2. Coarsely grind all the ingredients without adding water.
3. You may add chopped onions if you require.
4. Finally shape them into patties and fry them in oil till golden brown. Serve with sauce.
