Pori Urundai



Preparation Time : 30 - 45 minutes
Cooking Time : 25 minutes
Serves : Approx 15 balls

Ingredients
 
Puffed Rice – 3 cups
Jaggery – 1 cup
Elaichi powder – ½ tsp
Coconut Pieces – 2 tbsp
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Water – ½ cup

Procedure

1. Roast the coconut pieces in ghee.
2. In the same vessel, prepare syrup of jaggery with half cup water to the paagu consistency(a drop of syrup 
    in a bowl of water should form a ball and not dissolve). Switch off the stove.
3. Add the cardamom powder, coconut pieces, ghee.
4. Finally add this jaggery little by little to the puffed rice till it becomes thick and you are able to form balls 
    of  this mixture.
5. Make golf sized balls of the puffed rice mixture.
