Veppam poo / neem flower is known to cure all problems related to the stomach. This is also a great appretizer and can be had as it is also.
Preparation Time : 10 minutes

Ingredients
Tamarind – Lemon size ball(Soak in warm water for ½ hour)
Dried Red Chillies – 4- 5
Salt to taste
Asafoetida / Hing - 1/2 tsp
Dried neem leaves – 1 tbsp
Procedure
1. Extract pulp from the tamarind with 1 tumbler of water.
2. Add salt and hing and let it boil for 8 to 10 minutes till the raw smell disappears.
3. Add ¾ tumbler water and boil for additional 2 minutes.
4. Finally roast the neem flowers in ghee and add to the rasam.
