Garlic Bread

This is my cheat version of Garlic bread which I make when I get sudden cravings. Its easy and tastes as good bursting with the flavour of garlic. This has become a favourite at my place and my husband loves it. Who would not want garlic bread which does not involve complicated steps made at home in a jiffy. :-)

Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 15 minutes
Serves - 2

Ingredients

Bread Slices - 4 to 6
Cheese  - grated 1/4 cup (I make do with any variety, processed cubes / mozarella / cheddar / parmesan etc)
Butter - 3 tbsp thawed to spooning consistency
Garlic cloves - 4 minced / crushed thoroughly
Herb seasoning - 1 tbsp (This could be anything plain oregano / italian mix / all purpose etc)
Salt - very little

Procedure

1. Preheat oven to 150 C.
2. Take the bread slices, trim the sides and cut into two / four pieces to suit your liking (those who like it crunchy can retain them.)
3. In a small microwave bowl, thaw the cheese for about 10 secs. If the cheese is soft by default, skip this step
4. Add the butter, garlic, and seasoning to the cheese and mix with a whisk thoroughly
5. Spread the mixture evenly on the bread slices
6. Place the bread slices on a foil lined baking tray and bake in the oven till the cheese is slighly brown / bread turns brown
7. Serve these hot and crispy garlic bread with soup. It goes well in particular with pumpkin soup / the slightly sweet soup varieties
