Idli Molagai Podi

This is the version that my mother follows and is more of ellu molagai podi. Nevertheless it is spicy and we love it back home.

Preparation Time : 5 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes

Ingredients

Red Chilli - 1 cup tightly packed (Round / Long )
Til / Sesame Seeds / Ellu - 50 gms
Broken Urad Dal - 1/2 cup
Chana Dal - 1/4 cup
Salt - 2 tsp(Approximately)

Procedure

1. Roast til without oil till shiny. Set aside
2. Roast red chillies with little oil till they puff up. Set aside

3. Fry chana dal and urad dal in the same kadai with just a drop or two of oil
4. Let everything cool
5. Grind red chillies and til first. Then add the dals and salt and grind till it is slightly coarse. For those who like it powdery go ahead and grind more. I personally prefer to bite into dal bits.
