Pudi Kozhakattai is such a brilliant dinner tiffin. It tastes amazing and the perfect combination for this tiffin is burnt brinjal gotsu.

Ingredients
Raw Rice—1.5 cup
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Salt - to Taste
Water - 3 cups
For Seasoning
Curry Leaves - a few
Green Chillies - 3 chopped finely
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Asafoetida - to taste
Procedure
1. Wash and dry rice on a sheet of paper.
2. Once dry grind it to sooji like consistency
3. In a kadai, heat oil on a medium flame, add all the seasoning.
4. Add the water and salt.
5. Once it boils, add the coconut and rice powder and stir without lumps.
6. Close and cook for 3 minutes on a simmered flame.
7. Once this mixture cools down a bit and can be handled with hands, make them into oblong balls and
steam in idli plates for 8 minutes.
8. Pudi kozhakattai is ready to be served with brinjal gotsu
