Sabudana Kichdi



Preparation Time : 10 minutes
Cooking Time : 20 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients

Sabudana / Javvarisi (big)-  1.5 cups
Potato - 1 medium peeled and chopped into cubes
Curry Leaves - a few
Green Chillies - 2 chopped finely
Roasted Peanuts - 1/2 cup, crushed coarsely
Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Chopped Coriander - 2 tbsp

For seasoning 

Cumin - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp

Procedure

1. Wash well and soak the sabudana overnight.
2. Drain well and keep closed, make sure they are separate with no water.
3. Boil the potato cubes separately in a microwave till cooked
4. Heat oil, add the cumin, when it splutters add the potato, green chillies, curry leaves and saute well.
5. Mix the sabudana, crushed peanuts and salt separately
6. Add this mixture to the seasoning, and continue to cook on a slow flame till all the sabudana turns translucent.
7. Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander and lemon juice.
